The Coordinating Committee (or, in the absence of a formal coordinating committee, delegated council members) is responsible for deciding how the Mission Statement will be developed. Steps in the process include:

1. Prayerful reflection/education/discussion on:
   • a. Mission of Jesus and of the Church (see MEETING 1)
   • b. Archdiocesan Mission Statement (see MEETING 2)
   • c. Purpose of a parish (see MEETING 3 )
   • d. Who are we and what do we seek to become as a parish? (see MEETING 4)

2. Consultation with Parish (see SUGGESTIONS FOR PARISH INVOLVEMENT)
3. Complete Mission Statement (see MEETING 6)
