The year 2026 is the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States of America. In honor of this occasion, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) are planning two national initiatives. The first is a solemn act of consecration of the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in June 2026. The second is a National Eucharistic Pilgrimage in which the Blessed Sacrament will be carried in procession through the east coast of the USA, culminating in Philadelphia on July 2-5, 2026.

Sunday, July 5                 

  • 11:00 AM Solemn Mass at the Cathedral Basilica followed by Eucharistic Procession to Saint Peter Church (Shrine of Saint John Neumann)
  • Social follow the conclusion of the Eucharistic Procession

The Cathedral Basilica liturgical schedule remains in place for scheduled Masses and Confessions.
