World Day of Prayer for Migrants and Refugees Mass

The Catholic Church in the United States marks National Migration Week from September 19-25

Most Reverend Edward Deliman, Auxiliary Bishop of Philadelphia, will be the principal celebrant and homilist at The World Day of Prayer for Migrants and Refugees Mass. All are welcome to attend.

This prayerful gathering recognizes the plight of migrant, refugee, and asylum-seeking persons, families, and communities. It also serves to increase awareness about the opportunities that migration offers to society. Pope Francis’ chosen theme for this year is “Building a Future with Migrants and Refugees” as this day of prayer is observed throughout the Universal Church.
