West Catholic Preparatory High School Boys’ Basketball Team to Play in PIAA 3A State Championship Game

WCPHS community to hold pep rally as team departs for Hershey.

The West Catholic Preparatory High School (WCPHS) Boys’ Basketball Team will contend for the first state title in program history when they play Deer Lake High School from Cheswick (Allegheny County).

The WCPHS community will gather for a pep rally ahead of the teams’ departure for their game on Saturday, March 25 at 2:00 p.m. at the Giant Center in Hershey (Dauphin County).

On March 21, the Burrs defeated Trinity High School in Camp Hill (Cumberland County) in the semifinals. On March 2, the team captured their first-ever Boys’ District XII Championship over Mathematics, Civics and Sciences Charter School of Philadelphia. In 2021, the WCHS Girls’ basketball team won the 3A Championship.

The game will be televised live on the Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN) pcntv.com/basketball/
