Parochial elementary school families in the City of Philadelphia will receive direct communication from their local school leadership regarding the status of school on Thursday, January 29, 2026.
Some parochial elementary school buildings in the city will need to remain closed due to transportation difficulty in their neighborhoods. Those schools will utilize a Flexible Instruction Day on Thursday, January 29, 2026.
Archdiocesan high schools and parochial elementary schools in the suburban counties normally follow the decision of their corresponding local public school district and submit closure status independently.
