The Communities of Don Guanella and Divine Providence to Kick Off Annual Challenger Wiffle Ball League

The Communities of Don Guanella and Divine Providence (DGDP), part of the Developmental Programs Division of Catholic Social Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, will kick off its annual Challenger Wiffle Ball League.

The Challenger League was founded in 1997 by Mr. Jim Gula and the late Mr. Robert Neely to provide residents of The Communities of DGDP with an opportunity to play baseball. The initiative was inspired by the Little League Challenger Division, the adaptive baseball program founded in 1989 for individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities.
