The Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Office of Catholic Education to Host STREAM Expo and Second Annual Robotics Challenge

Students from across the region will showcase innovation in coding, robotics, and hands-on STREAM learning.

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Office of Catholic Education (OCE) will host the 2026 STREAM Expo featuring preschool through eight-grade students from parish and regional elementary schools across the five-county region.

The event will also include the second annual Robotics Challenge, where students participating in the Coding and Robotics Program, sponsored by the Foundation for Catholic Education and OCE, will demonstrate their programming and engineering skills.

Thursday, April 16, 2026
4:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m.
Cardinal O’Hara High School
1701 South Sproul Road
Springfield, PA 19064 (Delaware County)

STREAM stands for Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. The Expo highlights how Catholic education integrates academic rigor with faith-based values to prepare students for the future.

Students will present collaborative projects that demonstrate creativity, problem-solving, and real-world application across STREAM disciplines.

ROBOTICS CHALLENGE

This year’s Robotics Challenge aligns with the 250th anniversary of the United States. Using Marty the Robot, students will design and code programs that reenact significant historical moments from the past 250 years, combining technical skill with storytelling and historical understanding.

The STREAM Expo and Robotics Challenge illustrate the archdiocese commitment to innovation in education while remaining grounded in faith formation. The event offers families, benefactors, and community members a firsthand look at how students are developing critical thinking, collaboration, and leadership skills.
