Catholic Housing and Community Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (CHCS) is hosting an application day for Saint Rita Place, its newest affordable housing community for independent seniors in South Philadelphia.

The individuals recognized today represent 4,090 volunteers who provided a combined total of 95,911 volunteer hours to the Catholic Church’s local works of charity in 2020.

Catholic Housing and Community Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (CHCS) is teaming up with Giant Pharmacy to hold an on-site vaccination clinic in Northeast Philadelphia for older adults who benefit from programs and services operated by CHCS.

This effort is one way CHCS is continuing to care for and address the immediate needs of older adults amid the pandemic, especially those in the Hispanic and Latino Community who have been disproportionately affected and face barriers to vaccine access.
