St. John’s Hospice Celebrates its Fall Fling Gala at Philadelphia’s Historic Reading Terminal

Supporters gather for an evening of food, fun, and entertainment  

Saint John’s Hospice (SJH) of Catholic Social Services will host its annual Fall Fling Gala on September 24, 2016 at Philadelphia’s historic Reading Terminal Market. Ray Didinger, NFL Hall of Fame writer, sportscaster, radio and television host, will be the evening’s special guest speaker.

Back on My Feet, an organization serving individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless, will be presented the SJH 2016 Partner in Mission Award for its efforts in combating homelessness through running, community support, employment, and housing resources.

Saint John’s Hospice and Back on My Feet have organized a running team for men since 2009. Residents of SJH run each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with Back on My Feet volunteers.

SJH, a ministry of Catholic Social Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, has cared for homeless men in Center City Philadelphia since 1963. It provides emergency shelter, hot meals, clothing, mail services, showers, case management and support to thousands of homeless men each year.
