Saint Katharine of Siena Parish School to Celebrate Feast Day of its Patron, Saint Catherine of Siena

Saint Katharine of Siena Parish School (SKS) in Wayne (Delaware County) will celebrate the feast day of the school’s patron, Saint Catherine of Siena.

SKS leadership has planned several activities throughout the school day for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade.

  • each grade will attend adoration at Saint Katharine of Siena Church;
  • students will learn about Saint Catherine in their classes and will have the opportunity to share facts about the school’s patron saint;
  • students have the opportunity to wear SKS school colors and spirit wear;
  • students will be treated to a water ice truck during lunch and recess; and
  • students in 4th grade will partner with students in 8th grade to beautify the school property – pick-up litter and plant flowers to honor Saint Catherine and her love of God’s creation.

To conclude the day, Mrs. Adria Crowley, Principal of Saint Katharine Parish School, and members of student council, will lead a prayer service over the school’s loudspeaker to honor Saint Catherine. For more information about Saint Katharine of Siena Parish School, please visit sksschool.org/.
