During the weekend of October 11-12, parishes across the Archdiocese will unite in support of the Catholic Charities Appeal (CCA) of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia during In-Pew Commitment Weekend. The collection invites the faithful to prayerfully join together at parish Masses that weekend, making visible the power of the local Church to transform lives through generosity, mercy, and service.
The Catholic Charities Appeal is the Archdiocese’s largest annual fundraising effort, reaching one in five people each year throughout the five-county metropolitan area. Through more than 100 ministries and programs, CCA provides food, shelter, education, and care, bringing tangible hope to those most in need. This year’s CCA carries the theme “Giving Hope to All” and seeks to raise $10 million to continue this life-changing mission.
In 2024, CCA raised nearly $8.8 million from more than 37,000 gifts, supporting and sustaining vital ministries and programs that bring Christ’s love to those in need. The impact is seen in parishes, schools, neighborhoods, and families across the region, where hope is renewed each day through the generosity of the faithful.
