Most Reverend Nelson J. Pérez To Celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day Commemorative Mass

The theme for the 252nd Saint Patrick’s Day Parade in Philadelphia is Saint Patrick, Bless Philadelphia with a New Dawn of Hope.

Most Reverend Nelson J. Pérez, Archbishop of Philadelphia, will serve as the principal celebrant and homilist at the Saint Patrick’s Day Commemorative Mass on Sunday, March 10, 2024 prior to Philadelphia’s 252nd Saint Patrick’s Day Parade.

Reverend Kevin Gallagher, Pastor of Saint Denis Parish in Havertown (Delaware County), will concelebrate. The Philadelphia Emerald Society Pipe Band and Bishop Shanahan High School Choir will lead a procession from Saint Patrick Parish Rectory to the Church at 9:15 a.m.

Following Mass, Father Gallagher, who serves as parade Chaplain, will join marchers in the 252nd Saint Patrick’s Day Parade. The Grand Marshall for the 2024 Parade is Thomas Farrelly and the theme is Saint Patrick, Bless Philadelphia with a New Dawn of Hope.
