PHILADELPHIA, December 15, 2025 – In a powerful display of faith filled generosity and compassion, nearly 9,000 donors raised a record-breaking $2,213,146 for Catholic parishes, schools, and charitable ministries throughout the five-county Catholic Church of Philadelphia through #iGiveCatholic on GivingTuesday.
Underscoring the region’s national leadership in Catholic philanthropy, Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary Appeal and Catholic Charities Appeal of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia both ranked among the top five beneficiaries nationwide for total dollars raised though the initiative.
#iGiveCatholic is locally spearheaded by The Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia in partnership with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Since 2020, the initiative has raised over $9.6 million for Catholic entities in the Archdiocese.
#iGiveCatholic, nationally recognized as the official Catholic Giving Day, is celebrated annually on GivingTuesday. The initiative promotes a collective culture of Catholic philanthropy in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, helping to build sustainable annual fundraising capacity for parishes, schools, and organizations.
“I was thrilled to learn that this year’s #iGiveCatholic initiative set a new record in our local Church, raising more than $2.2 million for parishes, schools, and charitable ministries throughout our local Church,” said Most Reverend Nelson J. Pérez, Archbishop of Philadelphia.
“On behalf of all those whose lives will be touched by your generosity, I extend deep and prayerful gratitude. Your support is a powerful reflection of faith in action and a reminder of the light we are called to be for others. May God bless you abundantly during this holy season of Advent and always.”
