Holy Redeemer Chinese Catholic Elementary School in the Chinatown section of Philadelphia, will formally open its new Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Lab with a blessing and dedication ceremony.
Members of the Holy Redeemer community including students, school families, faculty, and staff will be present to mark this important milestone in the school’s history.
Reverend Tom Betz, OFM Cap., Pastor of Holy Redeemer Parish, will offer a blessing prior to the dedication of the STEM Lab.

The STEM Lab was made possible through the generous support of donors and the dedication of school leadership. This new space will provide students with hands-on opportunities in STEM; from robotics and coding, to engineering design, and scientific experiments, it will serve as a hub for discovery and problem-solving. The school’s goal is to prepare its students not only for future careers, but to inspire them to use their knowledge and skills to make a positive impact in their communities.

Holy Redeemer Chinese Catholic School was founded in 1941 by Cardinal Dennis Dougherty as a mission and outreach to the Chinese community.
