Families Served By Catholic Social Services to Receive Thanksgiving Meals Courtesy of Michael the Archangel Ministry at Philadelphia Lodge #5, Fraternal Order Of Police

Nutritional Development Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia will also provide traditional Thanksgiving side dishes for families.

For the sixth consecutive year, Philadelphia Police officers participating in the Michael the Archangel Ministry will provide Thanksgiving meals to 50 families served by Catholic Social Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Northeast Family Service Center (NEFSC).

The meal distribution is organized by Reverend Steven P. Wetzel, OSFS, Chaplain of the Michael the Archangel Ministry at the Philadelphia Lodge #5, Fraternal Order of Police.

Families will receive a complete dinner including turkey, vegetables, and dessert. Nutritional Development Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (NDS) will also provide traditional Thanksgiving side dishes including stuffing and other canned goods.

The meal distribution will take place outside of NEFSC in the driveway next to the building.

Named for the patron saint of police officers, the Michael the Archangel Ministry provides multi-denominational pastoral care, crisis ministry, and spiritual enrichment opportunities to active and retired Philadelphia Police Department officers and their families.
