Catholic Social Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (CSS) will host a Mother’s Day brunch for mothers served by CSS’ housing and community-based programs.
Approximately 125 guests will be in attendance including an estimated 100 mothers and children as well as program supporters, staff, and volunteers from Saint Cecelia Parish in Northeast Philadelphia. Reverend Christopher M. Walsh, Pastor of Saint Cecilia Parish, will offer a special blessing to the participating mothers and children.
Saturday, May 3, 2025
12:00 p.m.
Archdiocesan Pastoral Center (Auditorium)
222 North 17th Street
Philadelphia, PA 19103
The event will feature food, music, games, raffles, and a spring fashion show. In addition, attendees will receive gift cards and other newly purchased items. Donations were raised by CSS and the Archdiocesan Office for Child and Youth Protection for National Child Abuse Prevention Month.
Throughout the year, CSS offers a broad spectrum of services to support new and expecting mothers, regardless of creed, including prenatal and parenting classes; events and support groups; assistance in finding appropriate medical services; referrals for other services for the needs of the women and newborn; and access to baby food, diapers, furniture, and other essentials.
