Catholic Social Services’ Northeast Family Service Center to Treat Children Who Benefit From Community-Based Programs with Visit from Santa

The event is organized by Reverend Steven P. Wetzel, OSFS, Chaplain at Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Lodge 5. It is sponsored by the Philadelphia FOP Lodge 5.

The Northeast Family Service Center (NEFSC), a ministry of Catholic Social Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (CSS), will treat children who benefit from its Parenting and Pregnancy Programs, as well as its Out-of-School Time Program, to a visit from Santa Claus.

Approximately 40-50 children will join in on the festivities. Highlights include the singing of Christmas carols, distribution of presents, and a visit from Santa who will arrive on a trolley.

NEFSC is the first point of contact for individuals, families, and parishes seeking assistance for seniors in Northeast Philadelphia. It is one of seven such centers located throughout the five-county metropolitan area comprising the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. NEFSC offers several additional programs that look to strengthen families and the community including: Pregnancy and Parenting Services, a Food Cupboard available three times a week, Clarifi, BenePhilly, and more.
