Catholic Community Services to Host Community Book Bag Giveaway
Catholic Community Services (CCS), a ministry of Catholic Charities of Philadelphia, will host its annual community giveaway event to provide 300 school bags to children prior to the upcoming school year.

Philadelphia, PA 19149
CCS staff and volunteers will be present to distribute school bags packed with essential supplies including notebooks, pens, pencils, and crayons.
The outdoor event is part of Cradles to Crayon’s (C2C) “Ready for Learning” initiative which aims to distribute backpacks, school supplies, and quality clothing to children in low-income and homeless situations through a network of service partners in Massachusetts, Chicagoland, and Philadelphia Tri-State regions. C2C is a non-profit organization focused on ending children’s clothing insecurity.
About Catholic Community Services
CCS is the Community Umbrella Agency (CUA #4) designated by the Philadelphia Department of Human Services (DHS) to serve dependent children and families in the Greater Northeast section of Philadelphia. CCS CUA #4 is a legally independent community program that functions under the advocacy of the Youth Services Division of Catholic Charities of Philadelphia and provides Community Engagement, Prevention Services, and Case Management Services formerly maintained by DHS.
