Deacon George W. Kletzel, age 68, died on Sunday, March 11, 2018, at home, as a result of complications related to diabetes.  Deacon Kletzel is the brother of Reverend Thomas Kletzel, pastor of Saint Malachy Parish, Philadelphia.

Retired Permanent Deacon Arthur M. McGuire, died on March 7, 2018, as a result of complications from lymphoma. He was 82 years old.

Father Herron was born on March 29, 1930, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  He is the son of the late Daniel J. Herron and Beatrice (Allen) Herron.  Father Herron attended Transfiguration Parochial School, Philadelphia, and West Catholic High School, Philadelphia, before entering Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary.

Deacon Joseph R. Upcavage died on Thursday, December 21, 2017, from complications related to cancer and dementia.  Deacon Upcavage was ordained on June 2, 1996, at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, by His Eminence, Cardinal Anthony Bevilacqua.  He was assigned to Queen of the Universe Parish, where he remained until his retirement in 2010.
