Cardinal Foley Symposium to Gather Expert Communicators for Town Hall Discussion
The Cardinal John Foley Symposium, featuring a “town hall” discussion with expert communicators, will take place Thursday, May 22 at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary in Ambler.
The symposium annually celebrates the World Day of Communications. This year’s event focuses on the message of Pope Francis for this occasion with the theme, “Share with gentleness the hope that is in your heart.”
Guests discussing the theme include Joe Holden, chief investigative reporter for CBS News Philadelphia; Gina Christian, national reporter for Our Sunday Visitor; and Fran Maier, senior fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center.
Maier, a veteran journalist, will also receive the 2025 Cardinal Foley Award for Excellence in Communications.
Each year the Cardinal Foley Chair of Social Communications at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary hosts a symposium to celebrate World Communications Day and reflect on the papal message for the worldwide celebration.
