Reverend G. Dennis Gill, Rector of the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul and Director of the Office for Divine Worship for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, will preside over the 29^th annual Blessing of the Nativity Scene. The crèche will be located outside on the lawn in front of the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul.

Each year, the event is organized by the Christmas Crèche Committee and sponsored by the Ancient Order of Hibernians and the Knights of Columbus.

In addition to the blessing, students from Saint Francis Xavier Parish Elementary School located in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia will perform traditional Christmas carols.  The event is open to the public and all are welcome.
