Pope Francis has asked Catholics around the world to join in prayerful solidarity tomorrow, Wednesday, March 25th, The Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord. All are asked to pray the Our Father for the intentions of those suffering from the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and those working to halt the spread of this disease, which has gripped our world.
In calling for this moment of prayer throughout the Universal Church, Pope Francis said, “May the Lord listen to the united prayer of all of His disciples who are preparing themselves to celebrate the victory of the Risen Christ.”
Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez is encouraging broad participation in this initiative at noon tomorrow. He asks that all people of good will join in praying the Lord’s Prayer at that time. In doing so, we are called to remember the sick, their caregivers, medical professionals, and those suffering financial hardship as a result of the coronavirus at that time.
