Background information on Saint Christopher Parish School
Saint Christopher Parish School was founded in 1953. In the spirit of their patron, Saint Christopher, the school is committed to carrying Christ to others and fostering academic excellence. Rooted in Gospel values the school community aspires to develop 21st century students who are empowered to be responsible citizens, lifelong learners, and people of faith.
Earlier this month, Saint Christopher Parish School was among 71 parish and regional elementary schools recognized by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Office of Catholic Education as an Archdiocesan School of Distinguished Instruction for Growth and Exceeding Potential.
Saint Christopher’s was one of 18 schools recognized for Exceeding Potential. Recognition for Exceeding Potential was determined by analyzing the data from the ability testing (InView) and the achievement testing (Terra Nova) in which schools were found to have a majority of the classes meeting or exceeding their potential in all content areas at every level tested with a growth rate between 76 and 90%.
In addition, Saint Christopher’s was named a School of Distinguished Instruction in 2022 and 2023 for Growth. For more information about Saint Christopher Parish School, please visit stchrisstrong.org/.
