Background on the National Eucharistic Revival

The Catholic Bishops of the United States called for a three-year grassroots revival of devotion and belief in the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. They believe that God wants to see a movement of Catholics across the United States, healed, converted, formed, and unified by an encounter with Jesus in the Eucharist—and sent out in mission “for the life of the world.”

These three years will culminate with the first National Eucharistic Congress to take place in the United States in almost fifty years. That gathering will be held July 17-21, 2024 in Indianapolis.

The goal of the Eucharistic Revival is to renew the Church by enkindling a living relationship with Lord Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. To further this goal and continue the celebration of the Eucharistic Revival, the Archdiocese of Philadelphia will be holding an Archdiocesan Eucharistic Congress.
