Archbishop Chaput to Lead Delegation from The Archdiocese of Philadelphia to the 2016 March for Life in Washington, D.C.
Promoting the respect and protection of all human life and the end of legalized abortion
Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M. Cap. will lead faithful from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia on the Annual March for Life in Washington, D.C. on Friday, January 22, 2016. This year marks the 43rd anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton decisions legalizing abortion nationwide.
The March for Life activities will begin with a Vigil Opening Mass at the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. The principal celebrant and homilist will be Cardinal Timothy Dolan, Archbishop of New York and Chairman of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Committee on Pro-Life Activities.

The March for Life 2016 Rally will take place at 12:00 noon on the grounds of the Washington Monument. Following the Rally, the March will begin on Constitution Avenue between 15th and 17th Streets at approximately 1:00 p.m.
Participants from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia will meet on the corner of Constitution Avenue and 15th Street. They will process behind the Archdiocese of Philadelphia banner, carried by seminarians from Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary.

A bus from Archbishop Carroll High School will depart for Washington, D.C. on Friday, January 22, 2016 at 4:45 a.m. from the school’s main entrance – 211 Matson Ford Road, Radnor PA 19087.
Buses transporting around 150 seminarians will depart Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary in Wynnewood at 5:45 a.m. – 100 East Wynnewood Road, Wynnewood, PA 19096.
