Mrs. Denise McMonagle, Advanced Math Teacher at Saint Dorothy Parish Elementary School in Drexel Hill (Delaware County), and Sister Thomasann Quinn, SSF, Prayer & Liturgy Coordinator at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish Elementary School in Doylestown (Bucks County), were recently named recipients of the NCEA 2022 Lead. Learn. Proclaim. Award from the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA).
The award recognizes leadership and excellence in Catholic education. Mrs. McMonagle and Sister Thomasann Quinn were two of only 13 recipients selected from more than 150,000 teachers, administrators, diocesan leaders, and organizations dedicated to serving Catholic schools throughout the nation.

The NCEA will recognize Mrs. McMonagle and Sister Thomasann Quinn, along with the other 11 honorees of the 2022 Lead. Learn. Proclaim. Award, during its 2022 National Convention on Monday, April 18, 2022 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
RECIPIENT BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
Mrs. Denise McMonagle, has served as a Catholic school educator for 15 years in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and currently serves as the Advanced Math Teacher for Saint Dorothy School in Drexel Hill, Delaware County. Her rigorous lessons are inclusive of STREAM allowing students to apply lessons beyond the classroom. She works as a mentor teacher, a tutor during lunch and after school, as well as taking a leadership role on professional responsibilities impacting the school community at-large. Additionally, she plans prayer services that bring students to know and love God.
Sister Thomasann Quinn, SSF, a religious sister with the Sisters of Saint Francis in Philadelphia, who currently serves as the Prayer & Liturgy Coordinator at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish Elementary School (OLMC) in Doylestown (Bucks County), has been a /Catholic educator, serving in various roles and grade levels, across the country and has served twice as a principal during her 67 year tenure. Sr. Thomasann has contributed to OLMC School for the last 37 years and is currently working as the school’s Liturgical Director. In this role, she has had a significant role in the faith formation and Catholic identity of OLMC and its students in grades Pre-K through eighth grade.
