To Celebrate National Digital Citizenship Week the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Office of Catholic Education Tech Team (AoPTech) Recognized EdTech Influencers and Digital Ambassadors Throughout the Five-County Philadelphia Region

The Office of Catholic Education’s AoPTech team honored eighty-eight elementary and high school educators, administrators and central office team members as “AoP EdTech Influencers,” “AoP EdTech Digital Ambassadors,” and “AoP EdTech Social Media Ambassadors” during the week of October 18-October 22, 2021. The recognition took place in celebration of National Digital Citizenship Week and marked the third year for the AoP EdTech Influencer and Ambassador awards. This year’s awards were presented during the EdTech Influencer Recognition Ceremony on Friday, October 22, 2021 at the Empress Room at Saint Helena Church in Blue Bell (Montgomery County).

The AoP EdTech Influencer award recognizes members of the Archdiocesan education community who demonstrate exemplary technology integration by engaging, extending, and enhancing learning for all students. Influencers frequently collaborate with their peers to share ideas and resources and create innovative learning environments. The rigorous application process required applicants to demonstrate their utilization of the ISTE Standards, as well as, the Triple E Framework for Technology Integration. Influencers frequently collaborate with their peers to share ideas and resources as well as to create innovative learning environments. Multiple artifacts including lesson plans, student work samples, videos, and pictures were evaluated by the AoPTech team to help the selection committee reach their decisions. For a complete list of this year’s honorees, click here.   

The AoP EdTech Digital Ambassador award recognizes individuals for their dedication to and enthusiasm for using technology to transform their school communities. Digital ambassadors are recognized by their colleagues and school administrators for their strong foundational use of technology and tireless “can-do” mindset. The AoP EdTech Social Media Ambassadors award recognizes individuals who consistently engage with AoPTech on social media through the use of the hashtag #AoPTech and by tagging AoPTech members in their posts. Additionally, these educators use social media to share their best classroom practices, ideas, and inspiration with a truly global professional learning network of educators.
