The Roman Catholic High School of Philadelphia’s Football Team to Play in PIAA 5A Football Championship Game

Roman Catholic community to hold “Step-Out” celebration ahead of team’s departure for Mechanicsburg.

The Roman Catholic High School of Philadelphia’s Football Team will contend for the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) Boys’ 5A Championship when they play Bishop McDevitt High School from Harrisburg (Dauphin County).

The team will gather and process through the school’s Main Building as students come out into the hallways to recognize their achievements and wish them the best in the championship game.

The contest will take place on Friday, December 5 at 7:00 p.m. at Cumberland Valley High School’s Chapman Field in Mechanicsburg (Cumberland County).

The Roman Catholic Football Team has an overall record of 11-3 this year. On November 8, Roman Catholic captured the District XII 5 A Championship with a win over Olney High School. Roman Catholic and Bishop McDevitt met last year in the PIAA finals. Bishop McDevitt won in overtime.

The game will be aired on the Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN) pcntv.com/sports/.
