The Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s All Catholic Orchestra to Perform Annual Concert

Sixty-two students representing Archdiocesan and private Catholic High Schools throughout the five-county region have been selected to participate in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s 2025 All Catholic Orchestra and to perform in the annual concert.

This year’s All Catholic Orchestra, is under the direction of guest conductor, Mr. Joseph Brennan, Music Educator, Clinician, and Orchestra Conductor. The concert will be hosted by Mrs. Marusia Lynn, Fine Arts Chair, Pope John Paul II High School in Royersford (Montgomery County).

Students from Archdiocesan secondary schools including Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor (Delaware County); Archbishop Ryan High School in Northeast Philadelphia; Archbishop Wood High School in Warminster (Bucks County); Bishop Shanahan High School in Downingtown (Chester County); Cardinal O’Hara High School in Springfield (Delaware County); Saint Hubert Catholic High School for Girls in the Tacony section of Philadelphia; Lansdale Catholic High School in Lansdale (Montgomery County); and Pope John Paul II High School in Royersford (Montgomery County) will participate.

Students from private Catholic high schools including Academy of Notre Dame de Namur in Villanova (Delaware County); Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School in Lower Gwynedd (Montgomery County); Holy Ghost Preparatory School in Bensalem (Bucks County); Saint Joseph’s Preparatory School in North Philadelphia; Merion Mercy Academy in Merion Station (Montgomery County); Mount Saint Joseph Academy in Flourtown (Montgomery County); Nazareth Academy High School in Northeast Philadelphia; Sacred Heart Academy Bryn Mawr in Bryn Mawr (Delaware County); Villa Joseph Marie High School in Holland (Bucks County); and Villa Maria Academy High School in Malvern (Chester County) will also participate.

The students will perform the following pieces Farandole from L’Arlesienne Suite No. 2 by Georges Bizet, arranged by Merle J. Isaac; Bacchanale from Samson & Delilah by Camille Saint-Saëns, arranged by Merle J. Isaac; Song Without Words by Gustav Holst, arranged by Roy Phillippe; Pirate of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl by Klaus Badelt, arranged by  Ted Ricketts;  and Dance of the Tumblers from Snow Maiden by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, arranged by Sandra Dackow.  

Tickets are $10.00 and can be purchased at the door.
