The Archdiocese of Philadelphia Launches the Arise Podcast Series to Present the Truth, Beauty, and Goodness of the Catholic Faith To Catholics, Fellow Christians, and All Those Who Seek Something More

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia (AOP) has launched The Arise Podcast, a podcast series to help local Catholics transition back to in-person parish life after several weeks of COVID-19 restrictions. The series explores Catholic life in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and offers reflections on the Word of God as it speaks to us in our own day.

The podcast series features Reverend Richard Owens, O.F.M. Cap., Director of the Archdiocesan Office for Black Catholics; Reverend Eric Banecker, Parochial Vicar at Saint Pius X Parish; and Gina Christian, Senior Content Producer for CatholicPhilly.com.

The Arise Podcast, which is slated to run six to eight episodes, features a two-part interview with Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez who shares his insights on faith and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Additionally, the series is part of “Arise: Restoring Catholic Life After the Pandemic,” an Archdiocesan initiative designed to invigorate parish life after weeks of COVID-19 restrictions (https://archphila.org/arise/). This program provides parishes and Archdiocesan institutions with guidance and resources for worship, catechesis, evangelization, and communications to help clergy and faithful reintegrate into active, in-person participation in Mass and parish activities.

Catholics, fellow Christians, and all those who seek something more, can listen to the podcast series via StitcherGoogle Play, and iTunes.
