Catholic Human Services is comprised of Catholic Social Services, Catholic Housing and Community Services, and Nutritional Development Services.

Approximately 125 guests will be in attendance including an estimated 100 mothers and children as well as program supporters, staff, and volunteers from Saint Cecelia Parish in Northeast Philadelphia.

SJH serves meals to its residents and hundreds of community members experiencing homelessness per week, with casseroles being a critical source of nutrients for their daily intake.

If 500 or more tickets are sold, one beneficiary of CCA will have the honor of throwing out the first pitch of the game. In addition, a choir group of CCA beneficiaries will have the privilege of singing the National Anthem.

The Catholic Charities Appeal benefits nearly 1 million people each year through countless charitable service organizations and ministries throughout the five-county Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

Archbishop Pérez will announce this year’s fundraising goals and highlight the Catholic Charities Appeal’s impact on those served by the charitable works of mercy and educational ministries of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

The center will host a Philadelphia Eagles Pep Rally in anticipation of Super Bowl LIX featuring the Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs.

Most Reverend Nelson J. Pérez, D.D., Archbishop of Philadelphia, will visit Saint Edmond’s Home for Children for a special prayer service and tour of the facility.

This traditional service project has been ongoing since 1968, five years after Saint John’s Hospice was founded.
