The Catholic Charities Appeal benefits nearly 1 million people each year through countless charitable service organizations and ministries throughout the five-county Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

Archbishop Pérez will announce this year’s fundraising goals and highlight the Catholic Charities Appeal’s impact on those served by the charitable works of mercy and educational ministries of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

The center will host a Philadelphia Eagles Pep Rally in anticipation of Super Bowl LIX featuring the Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs.

Most Reverend Nelson J. Pérez, D.D., Archbishop of Philadelphia, will visit Saint Edmond’s Home for Children for a special prayer service and tour of the facility.

This traditional service project has been ongoing since 1968, five years after Saint John’s Hospice was founded.

Attendees represent thousands of young people across the Greater Philadelphia Area who benefit annually from community-based and residential programs offered by Catholic Social Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

Over 400 individuals will be in attendance for this festive occasion, including those served by DGDP as well as their families and caregivers.

CCS staff and volunteers will be present to distribute winter coats, hats, gloves, and a variety of other cold-weather essentials to individuals and families facing obstacles to obtaining winter necessities.

Martha’s Choice Marketplace and Community Farm will host a two-day distribution event to provide full Thanksgiving meals to more than 800 families in Montgomery County.

The ministries will team up to provide  early Thanksgiving meals to approximately 100 community members experiencing homelessness.
