Saints John Neumann and Maria Goretti Catholic High School Launches Second Year of Tuition4me Virtual Initiative

The program is designed to assist seniors throughout the region in defraying college expenses.

Saints John Neumann and Maria Goretti Catholic High School (Neumann-Goretti) in South Philadelphia recently launched Tuition4me.

This unique initiative, now in its second year, seeks to assist high school seniors at schools throughout the region in defraying college expenses. The program is a virtual auction of full-value, donated college tuition and housing credits provided by numerous colleges and universities in Pennsylvania, Delaware, New York, and West Virginia.

The online auction opens on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. and closes on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. It provides students and families with opportunities to acquire full-value tuition and housing credits at reduced prices. Following the conclusion of the auction, the winning bidders will be notified of their scholarship acquisition and how it will reduce the student’s expenses at the participating college for the 2022-2023 academic year.

Mr. Joseph M. McColgan, President, Saints John Neumann and Maria Goretti Catholic High School said, “We are excited to relaunch the Tuition4me initiative now in its second year. In 2021, $7,500 was raised through this program. It was created for one purpose—to help make college affordable for all students. We are deeply grateful to the colleges and universities partnering with us on this unique endeavor.”

The colleges and universities partnering with Neumann-Goretti in the Tuition4me program include: Cedar Crest College, Allentown, Pennsylvania; DeSales University, Center Valley, Pennsylvania; Dominican College, Orangeburg, New York; Goldey-Beacom College, Wilmington, Delaware; King’s College, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania; La Salle University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Mount Aloysius College, Cresson, Pennsylvania; Neumann University, Aston, Pennsylvania; Point Park University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Saint Francis University, Loretto, Pennsylvania; Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Waynesburg University, Waynesburg, Pennsylvania; Wheeling University, Wheeling, West Virginia; Widener University, Chester, Pennsylvania; and Wilkes University, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

Mrs. Elizabeth Ruggio Robison, a 1959 graduate of Saint Maria Goretti Catholic High School and a participant in Tuition4me said, “As a proud product of Catholic education and as an alumna of Saint Maria Goretti, I feel it is extremely important to provide the next group of young women and men with the opportunity to further their education.”
