Saint Katharine of Siena Parish, Wayne (Delaware County), will welcome families and their pets to be blessed in commemoration of the Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi (October 4).
Saint Katharine of Siena Parish in Wayne (Delaware County) will host a blessing for pets, of all shapes and sizes, and their beloved humans, in commemoration of the Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi, the Patron Saint of Animals, which is celebrated each year on October 4th.
Monsignor Hans A.L. Brouwers, Pastor of Saint Katharine of Siena, will bless, well-behaved, contained, and leashed animals in the school parking lot, which is located at the corner of Midland and Aberdeen Avenues in Wayne.

The Blessing of the Animals, celebrated each October, is sponsored by the Faithful Families Ministry of Saint Katharine Parish. This ministry supports the pastor and parish by working together to share God’s love with simple acts of service for its church and community. Faithful Families fosters fellowship at Saint Katharine by hosting liturgical workshops, a monthly virtual Rosary, and children’s service projects at parish coffees, among other parish life activities.
