Walk in the Footsteps of Pope Francis and Enjoy Beautiful Sacred and Classical Music
Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary in Wynnewood (Montgomery County) announced today that it will host a spring benefit concert on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. The concert will be led by the Seminary’s new Director of Sacred Music and Wanamaker Organist, Rudolph Lucente.
He will be joined by Artist in Residence and Philadelphia Orchestra organist Michael Stairs, organist Colin Howland and trumpeter Brian Kuszyk. Also performing will be renowned vocalists Amanda Frederick, Toffer Mihalka, John Frederick and Kaitlyn Tierney. The concert program includes sacred and classical music. The theme of the concert is “Music, Mission and Faith.”
“Saint Charles Seminary is pleased to offer a unique opportunity for guests to walk in the footsteps of Pope Francis while also enjoying a beautiful evening of music and song under the direction of our new director of sacred music Rudolph Lucente.” said Bishop Timothy C. Senior, Rector of Saint Charles Seminary.
Concert proceeds will benefit the Seminary’s program of priestly formation and all are welcome to attend. Tickets are on sale for $75.00 per person and can be purchased by visiting the Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary website, www.scs.edu/mmfconcert.
All funds raised will support the Seminary’s Spirituality Year Program. This portion of the Seminary’s priestly formation program ordinarily follows a seminarian’s college graduation. It offers intensive spiritual preparation and direction for the development of a rich internal life of prayer.
