Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary to Honor Ray Didinger at the 5th Annual John Cardinal Foley Symposium

The John Cardinal Foley Award for Excellence in Communications will be awarded
to Ray Didinger, sportswriter, screenwriter, radio and television
commentator and member of the Pro-Football Hall of Fame.

Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary will host its 5th annual John Cardinal Foley Symposium in celebration of World Communications Day on Tuesday, October 1, 2020.

The symposium was originally scheduled for May 2020 and postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This year’s celebration will be held virtually.

Beginning at 7:00 p.m. the public forum will be streamed live from Vianney Auditorium at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary at https://vimeo.com/event/266540. The symposium will include a discussion of the Message from Pope Francis for World Communications Day.

Panelists for the forum include Reverend Thomas Dailey, O.S.F.S., holder of the Cardinal Foley Chair in Social Communications at the Seminary; Matthew Gambino, Director and General Manager of CatholicPhilly.com; and Ray Didinger, sportswriter, screenwriter, radio and television
commentator and member of the Pro-Football Hall of Fame.

The Cardinal Foley Award for Excellence in Communications, which recognizes contributions to the world of mass media and social communications, will be presented to Mr. Didinger during the symposium.
