Office for Life and Family of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia Holds Rally and Walk for Life

The Office for Life and Family of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia invites all people of good will to come together to rally and walk in support of the dignity of human life from conception to natural death.  They will also hear from nationally renowned pro-life leaders who will address topics including abortion, living with disabilities, protecting the medically vulnerable, and the pro-life movement among students.

The rally and walk will be followed by Mass celebrated by Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M. Cap.

Featured speakers include Steven Mikochic, Kate and Gaetano Chetta, Marie Joseph, Lauren Kretzer, Bishop Janice Hollis, Mark Houck and Astrid Guttierez Bennet.

 Local groups participating in the rally include members from the Knights of Columbus and students from Archdiocesan and private Catholic high schools.  Saint Charles Borromeo Gospel Choir and the Evangelical Children’s Choir will perform several spiritual and patriotic songs. Registration for the rally is not necessary. 

The winning submissions selected by the Respect Life Leadership Council for the Walk for Life Pro-Life video competition will be shown during the rally.  First place and $500 will be awarded to Archbishop Wood; second place and $300 will be awarded to Mercy Career and Technical High School; and third place and $200 will be awarded to Malvern Preparatory School for Boys.
