#iGiveCatholic is nationally recognized as the official Catholic Giving Day; held on
#GivingTuesday, it celebrates and supports parishes, schools, and charitable ministries.

PHILADELPHIA, November 29, 2022 – Most Reverend Nelson J. Pérez, Archbishop of Philadelphia, released two video messages on social media to mark #iGiveCatholic in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

#iGiveCatholic is nationally recognized as the official Catholic Giving Day. It is celebrated annually on #GivingTuesday as a kickoff to the charitable season bringing the Catholic community together to give thanks by giving back.

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia has partnered with the Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia for three consecutive years to participate in #iGiveCatholic. This year, a total of 154 parishes, schools, and charitable ministries across the five-county Archdiocese registered to participate.

Mr. James Amato, Secretary for Catholic Human Services, joined Archbishop Pérez for the second video. Catholic Human Services is the largest faith-based human services provider in Southeastern Pennsylvania benefiting more than 600,000 people in need each year. Mr. Amato spoke to how this initiative helps to transform the lives of those most at risk and vulnerable in our area.
