Monsignor Francis W. Beach to Receive Saint Charles Borromeo Award at 2027 Seminary Gala Dinner

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia and Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary are pleased to announce that Reverend Monsignor Francis W. Beach will be honored with the Saint Charles Borromeo Award at the 2027 Gala Award Dinner. The bi-annual event will take place on April 21, 2027.   Confirmation of the venue will be forthcoming.

Monsignor Beach is being recognized for his decades of unwavering support and advocacy for Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary. His commitment to priestly formation, stewardship, and the mission of the Church has made a lasting impact on the seminary community and the broader Archdiocese.

Throughout his distinguished priestly ministry, Monsignor Beach has served in numerous leadership roles, including Episcopal Vicar, Pastor, and Archbishop’s Delegate for Stewardship and Development. He was instrumental in the founding of the Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia and has played a key role in fundraising efforts for the new seminary campus in Gwynedd Valley.

“Monsignor Beach exemplifies the spirit of Saint Charles Borromeo through his tireless dedication to the formation of future priests and his deep love for the Church,” said Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez. “His leadership and generosity have strengthened our seminary and inspired countless others to support its sacred mission.”

Father T. Christopher Redcay, Rector of Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary, added, “Monsignor Beach has been a true champion of our seminary. His pastoral heart, visionary leadership, and commitment to priestly formation have helped shape the future of our Church. We are honored to celebrate his legacy at the 2027 Gala Award Dinner.”

The Saint Charles Borromeo Award is presented bi-annually by the Seminary’s Board of Trustees to individuals who embody lives of humility, service, and dedication to the Church. Monsignor Beach joins a distinguished list of past recipients who have made significant contributions to Catholic life in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and beyond.
