Monsignor Bonner & Archbishop Prendergast Catholic High School to Celebrate Homecoming Weekend With Hall of Fame Induction and Inaugural Communion Breakfast; Coach Dick Vermeil Will Be the Featured Guest Speaker

Monsignor Bonner & Archbishop Prendergast Catholic High School in Drexel Hill (Delaware County) will celebrate homecoming weekend with the Monsignor Bonner Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Inaugural Communion Breakfast. Dick Vermeil, Former Head Coach of the Philadelphia Eagles, Saint Louis Rams, and Kansas City Chiefs will be the featured guest speaker. Coach Vermeil is also a finalist for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2022.

The inductees into the Monsignor Bonner Hall of Fame Class for 2020 include: Jack Mayer’63; Dan McNichol’65; Earl Ziegenfuss’69; Joe Mattson’71; Dan Hilferty’73; three members of the Class of 1975; Dan Cassidy; Mike Curry; Mike Gaynor; Terry Donnelly’79; Pat Welde’81; Dave Fleming’92; Dave Garrison’08 (posthumously); and the Hall of Fame Team Induction Bonner Mathletes/Math Department.

The Bonner & Prendie Advancement Office and the Bonner Hall of Fame Committee notified the honorees. Proceeds from the event are awarded to current Bonner & Prendie school families through tuition assistance.

On Sunday, members of the Bonner & Prendie community will come together for the inaugural Communion Breakfast. Father James Olson, Pastor of Saint John Paul II Church in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia, will be the celebrant for Mass. Father Olson will joined by Father William Donnelly, OSA `59; Father Frank Horn, OSA `67; and Father Joseph Zaleski, Bonner & Prendie’s Campus Minister who will concelebrate.
