Monsignor Bonner & Archbishop Prendergast Catholic High School (Bonner & Prendie) appoints Mr. Adam Marso as Director of Athletics (AD)
Drexel Hill, PA – Monsignor Bonner & Archbishop Prendergast Catholic High School (Bonner & Prendie) welcomes Mr. Adam Marso as the new Director of Athletics (AD). Mr. Marso’s appointment follows the resignation of Mr. Brian Wagner, who had served as AD since 2018, and now serves as Chief Administrative Officer at Heyday Athletic in Philadelphia, PA.
Mr. Marso most recently served as a Health and Physical Education faculty member at Saints Neumann-Goretti Catholic High School (Neumann-Goretti) in South Philadelphia. Prior to his time at Neumann-Goretti, Mr. Marso previously taught Spanish at Bonner & Prendie during the 2020-2021 academic year. While serving as a language teacher at Bonner & Prendie, he also worked closely with the Athletic Department serving as the school’s Strength and Conditioning Coach. In that role, Mr. Marso implemented a comprehensive strength and conditioning program for the Bonner & Prendie student athletes and planned a redesign of the weight room, as well as collaborating closely with many of the athletic program coaches.
In addition to his secondary education experience in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, Mr. Marso brings with him an extensive background in athletics at both the collegiate level as well as in Major League Baseball (MLB). Mr. Marso worked with student athletes at the University of North Florida, Nicholls State University, University of Pittsburgh, University of Denver, Penn State University as well as previously serving as a Minor League Strength and Conditioning Coach with the Pittsburgh Pirates at their Spring Training facilities in Florida and the Dominican Republic, respectively.
Mr. Marso holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from Penn State University and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Nicholls State University in Louisiana. Additionally, he holds certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
