*Media Advisory* Nutritional Development Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia to Hold Community Food Distribution in Delaware County

This is Nutritional Development Services 12th large-scale food giveaway since October 2020 in an effort to continue the fight against hunger amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nutritional Development Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (NDS) is partnering with Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby, Delaware County to host its 12th free community food distribution for individuals and households facing food insecurity stemming from the ongoing pandemic.

NDS aims to distribute 378 “Farmers to Families” food boxes containing dairy, meats, and produce. NDS will also have on hand 600 student meal kits containing seven breakfasts and seven lunches for children and youth 2-18 years old who are virtual learners not receiving school meals

Community volunteers will be on-hand to assist with placing food boxes in trunks of cars as they pull up.

No ID is required. All are welcome. The food boxes are funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s “Farmers to Families” Food Box Program.
