The Saint Joseph Place development involves the substantial rehabilitation of the historic former Saint Joseph’s Parish Elementary School and its Annex building as well as the construction of a new addition to unify the two buildings.
The unified building will consist of 50 one-bedroom apartments for income eligible seniors ages 62 and older. Features of the building will include a community room, food cupboard, laundry facilities, resident lounges, and on-site social services to assist residents as they age in place within their community.
The new development is designed by Kramer + Marks Architects and construction began in late August 2021.
