*Media Advisory* Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez to Visit Saint John’s Hospice

Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez will visit Saint John’s Hospice (SJH) for a tour and meet with men experiencing homelessness in Philadelphia. SJH is a ministry of Catholic Social Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (CSS).

The Archbishop will be greeted by Mr. James Amato, Secretary for Catholic Human Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia; Ms. Amy Stoner, Director of CSS’ Community-Based and Housing and Homeless Services Division; as well as SJH staff and board members.

For over 55 years, SJH has provided crucial and life-sustaining services with dignity, respect, and compassion to men experiencing homelessness in Philadelphia. Each weekday, SJH provides more than 300 hot meals to its residential and day services guests, as well as case management, on-site nursing, daily showers, and a mail room for over 900 men. Each year, it provides residential services for over 250 men transitioning from homelessness to independent living in the community.
