Lizanne Magarity-Pando Named President of Saint Hubert Catholic High School For Girls

The Office of Catholic Education (OCE) and the Faith in the Future Foundation are pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Lizanne Magarity-Pando as the new President of Saint Hubert Catholic High School for Girls effective April 28th.  She succeeds Mr. Francis Farrell, who vacated the position of President in the spring of 2015 to assume the role of Director of Financial Aid in OCE.

Mrs. Pando said, “I am honored to join the Saint Hubert’s family at such an exciting time for this Catholic high school community comprised of talented faculty and staff as well as bright students with promising futures.  As an institution of secondary education in Northeast Philadelphia, Saint Hubert’s has a rich history of preparing young ladies to become women of faith and integrity in our rapidly changing world.  I look forward to working closely with the school’s Principal, Dr. Joanne Walls, along with its board members, faculty, and staff to maximize the school’s potential in service to the students and school families who have invested in the lifelong gift of Catholic education.”

Mrs. Pando joins Saint Hubert’s after most recently serving as the Director of Marketing and Communications for the World Meeting of Families–Philadelphia 2015 (WMOF).  In that role, she was responsible for overseeing brand management of all events and programs as well as web design for last September’s international gathering.  Additionally, she managed the development of all WMOF branded social media platforms. Those efforts resulted in over 1.19 billion social media impressions during the week of September 22, 2015.  Prior to her service with WMOF she was the Director of Communications for the Central Association of the Miraculous Medal (CAMM) in Philadelphia from 2007 to 2014.  She holds a dual Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Delaware in Chemistry and Business.

Mr. Christopher Mominey, Chief Operating Officer and Secretary for Catholic Education said, “After an extensive search conducted by the Office of Catholic Education and the Saint Hubert’s Board of Trustees, we are thrilled to announce that Lizanne will join the school at such an important time in its already storied history.  Lizanne brings much enthusiasm along with the strong leadership qualities we were looking for in the new President of Saint Hubert’s. She is a woman of deep faith who will serve as an excellent role model for our young women in the Catholic tradition.  On behalf of OCE we are also grateful to Saint Hubert’s Principal, Dr. Joanne Walls, who for the last year has taken on dual roles as Principal and Interim President while we sought the best candidate.”

In addition to her professional work, Mrs. Pando serves as Co-Founder and Event Planner for “Friends of Trisomy 21,” a Non-Profit 501 (c) 3, which is based in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania and raises funds for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for families with a child with Down syndrome.   Mrs. Pando is the youngest of 8, attended our Mother of Consolation Catholic School and Mount Saint Joseph Academy. She and her husband, Jim, are the proud parents of two daughters, Cyndi, a senior at Lansdale Catholic High School, and Jenna.  They currently reside in Saint Helena Parish in Blue Bell (Montgomery County).
