1946- 2021

Reverend Marshall J. Kloda, Retired, Resident, Villa Saint Joseph, Darby, died on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at Delaware Valley Hospital.

Father Kloda was born on February 19, 1946, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is the son of the late Marshall M. Kloda and Josephine Tarabolski. Father Kloda attended Saint Stephen Parochial School, Philadelphia and Roman Catholic High School before entering Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary.

Father Kloda was ordained on May 5, 1989, at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, Philadelphia by Most Reverend Anthony J. Bevilacqua. Father Kloda served as Parochial Vicar, Saint Katherine of Siena Parish, Philadelphia, and Saint Martin of Tours Parish, Philadelphia. He also served as Chaplain at Nazareth Hospital. Father Kloda retired from active ministry in 2016.

Reception of the Body will be held at Saint Katherine of Siena Church Philadelphia, on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a viewing. Most Reverend Nelson J. Pérez will celebrate a Funeral Mass for Father Kloda at 10:30 a.m. Concelebrating the Funeral Mass will be Reverend Edward E. Brady, Reverend Robert G. Suskey, and Reverend Monsignor Paul M. Kennedy. Father Brady will be the homilist.

Father Kloda is survived by his sister, Charlotte LaPalomento. Interment will be at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery in Pendell.
