Holy Family Catholic School’s 234 students will be decked out in blue on Friday, October 4th to mark the Phoenixville school’s inclusion on the 2024 list of National Blue Ribbon Schools as announced by the United States Department of Education.
The event is a celebration of the accomplishments of the students, faculty and staff in the Holy Family community, but it also recognizes the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, whose 52 Blue Ribbon School awards since the program’s inception in 1982 give it the most of any diocese in the nation.

Holy Family is one of only 356 total schools and among just 40 private schools selected nationally for this distinction. Schools were chosen for this honor based on exemplary high performance. Holy Family received this recognition previously in 2016.
In addition to this honor, Holy Family Catholic School has also been recognized by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Office of Catholic Education (OCE) as an Archdiocesan School of Distinguished Instruction in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024. This year, Holy Family was among 71 parish and regional elementary schools to receive that honor from OCE.
While the award recognizes academic excellence, Holy Family Principal Jennifer D’Amelio also can speak about the school’s efforts to better engage Spanish-speaking families, through grants from the Connelly Foundation and the Crimsonbridge Foundation.
