The Archdiocese of Philadelphia celebrated the national observance of Catholic Schools Week from Sunday, January 29, 2023 through Saturday, February 4, 2023. The national theme for CSW this year was Faith. Excellence. Service.
Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez participated in his third CSW as shepherd of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. He kicked-off the week at Holy Trinity School in Morrisville (Bucks County) to celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiving for the 70th anniversary of the school community.
On Thursday, February 2, 2023, Archbishop Pérez visited Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor (Delaware County) to celebrate Mass and visit with the school community. The Archbishop also hosted “Ask the Archbishop” in the school’s Student Center. This “AMA” dialogue included students from Archbishop Carroll, Saint Katharine of Siena Parish Elementary School in Wayne (Delaware County), and Saint Katherine Day School’s High School Program.
This conversation provided an opportunity for Archbishop Pérez to hear from students in an environment that fosters greater understanding of his vision about the importance of Catholic education and its lifelong benefits.
