Deacon Lane was born in Newark, Delaware and was raised in several states on the east coast including: Pennsylvania, Georgia, North Carolina, and New York. He has been serving as a transitional deacon at Saint Katherine of Siena Catholic Church (Philadelphia County) for the past year in final preparation for Ordination to the Priesthood. He attended High School at Aquinas Academy in Bear, Delaware and Immaculate Conception Apostolic School in Center Harbor, New Hampshire. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy (2018) and his Master of Divinity (2021) from Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary, Wynnewood.

There are six men from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia in the Ordination Class of 2022. Following the conclusion of Mass with the Rite of Ordination, they will be assigned to an Archdiocesan parish where they will serve as parochial vicars. A parochial vicar is a priest appointed by the Archbishop to assist the pastor of a parish.
