DIOCESAN OFFICES
Reverend Philip G. Bochanski, Vicar General, Moderator of the Curia to Pastor within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, effective June 15, 2026.
In making this appointment, Archbishop Pérez said, “Caring for the faithful of the Church of Philadelphia is both a joy and a great responsibility. I am blessed to share that responsibility with faithful auxiliary bishops and a dedicated senior staff. I thank Father Bochanski for his dedicated service as Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia over these past three years. He is a man of faith and deep learning, and I know that he will be a good shepherd for the souls entrusted to his pastoral care.”

In announcing this appointment, Archbishop Pérez said, “I ask our bishops, priests, deacons, consecrated religious, and lay faithful to extend a warm welcome to Father Banecker as he takes on this important role. Father Banecker has served the Church faithfully as a parish priest and in various ministerial capacities and leadership roles. He is a faithful priest with many pastoral gifts and administrative talents. I am grateful for his willingness to take on this new responsibility and ask that you join me in praying that his work will bear great fruit.”
