Catholic Social Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (CSS), in partnership with the Pro-Life Union of Greater Philadelphia, will host “Philly’s Biggest Baby Shower” for new and expecting mothers in need and their families.

The outdoor event will feature prizes, food, and parenting education classes. CSS and Pro-Life Union staff will be present to distribute diapers, wipes, and more to those facing obstacles to obtaining infant and childcare necessities.
CSS is collecting baby care items until Friday, September 8th. All goods donated will be distributed at “Philly’s Biggest Baby Shower”. Those interested in supporting CSS and our neighbors in need can purchase essential baby care items online through You Give Goods. Those interested in donating items directly are asked to please contact Ms. Stoner at [email protected].
In 2022, 6,400 clients across the five-county metropolitan area received pregnancy and parenting services. In addition, approximately 10,300 diapers and baby items were distributed to families in need.
Additional modes of support through CSS include prenatal and parenting classes; events and support groups; assistance in finding appropriate medical services, referrals for other services for the needs of the women and newborn; and access to baby food, diapers, furniture, and other essentials.
